Community Harvester - membership
Prefer to try it out first? Come and meet us on the Community Farm Trial Day. Or order the Community Farm Flex Card to come and help and/or harvest 5 times of your choice.
Do you have little time to help out in the fields, but want to harvest healthy, fresh, local and unsprayed vegetables? Then sign up as a Community Harvester!
As a "Community Harvester," you pick fresh vegetables, herbs, edible flowers and fruits year-round at Phood Community Farm!
Our garden is natural, regenerative, grown without the use of pesticides and fertilizers and with a focus on caring for both people and nature.
Co-farming or not? If you become a Community Harvester, you will come to harvest mostly yourself. Would you also like to help in the garden? Then Community Farmer – membership is more for you.
How does self-harvesting work? An experienced community farmer will explain to you the first time about that week’s harvest and how to harvest it. Once you have mastered harvesting, you can also harvest on your own when it suits you, apart from the regular co-farming days. In the Community Farm’s GardenPlanner app, you’ll find the week’s harvest list and an explanation of how to harvest.
Harvesting follows the natural rhythm of the seasons. In summer, the harvest will naturally be more bountiful than in late winter or early spring. Even in the winter, there will be something to harvest almost every week. With an annual subscription, you will experience the unique beauty of all seasons!
As Community Harvester:
- you are part of an engaged community
- Introduce you to permaculture and organic principles
- you buy an eye share: you share when there is abundance, but you also share in the risks. You o ogst on average 5-15 vegetables at a time and additionally herbs, edible flowers and fruits
- Learn together about processing and eating seasonal, locally grown food
- contribute in your way (in time, knowledge, energy or ideas)
- think about the development and future of the garden
- you pay an annual fee of €540
- get access to the GardenPlanner app with the week’s new harvest and explanations of what and how to harvest
-
Harvesting yourself: By harvesting your own vegetables, fruits, edible flowers and herbs, you experience connection with your food.
- Fresh, local and regenerative vegetables: You harvest your vegetables straight from the land, right when you need them. You can’t get fresher!
-
Connected to nature: You actively experience the seasons. From the first spring flowers to the harvest of autumn, you see what grows and what doesn’t during the year.
-
A strong community: By being with like-minded people in the garden, we strengthen social bonds and work together to create a healthy, local food supply. Together, we make the harvest richer and the experience more meaningful.
For $540 per year*, enjoy a full year of fresh (seasonal) vegetables and gardening fun with our Community Harvester membership. Membership is for 1 person.
